Allie's 1st day of First Grade

I am having a tough time stomaching this one. My baby went of to first grade today! She is my social butterfly, so she was ready to see all her friends! She has Mrs. Hanna again (she had her for kindergarten) and we all love her! Allie will be sure to have a fantastic year....and I am sure I will too after I get over the shock!

Kayla's 1st Day of Third Grade...

Kayla started 3rd grade today. I can't belive it! She is so excited and I am sure it will be a great year! She has Mr. Hess and couldn't be more happy with him! I, on the the other hand, can't wait to pick her up from school today!

New West Fest 2009

We spent today at the New West Fest. We started with lunch, then Allie had her dance perfomance. She did an awesome job! Sorry, no video - there were sooo many people there I couldn't get a clear shot through heads! Then it was on to the festivities....rock climbing, carnival rides and the day woulnd't be complete without some rainbow hair!!!

Friday Funday!!!

We planned to take the girls minature golfing today.....as soon Andy got home from his meeting it started raining:( So.....we went to see Band Slam. It was a really good movie and of course when we left the theatre it was nice outside!!! So, off to golf we went....

City Park

Grabbed some pizza and some bread and headed to City Park! We ate dinner, the kids fed the ducks and we played at the park! Not bad for a Thursday night:)

City Park Pool

We went to City Park Pool today with the Axes. It was the worst day ever for Allie because she wasn't tall enought to do the slides or lazy river UNTIL we discovered she could do a swim test! She passed and was happy as could be the rest of the day(thanks goodness)! Of course Kayla had a great time, as long as there is water she can be in - it's a great day!!!

Camp Rock - Hip Hop Dance Camp

Last week Allie had a dance camp. She loved it! They learned a dance that they will be performing at the New West Fest in a couple weeks and made tshirt and other crafts! She loved putting together her favorite hip-hop outfits each morning before camp!

Kayla chose Casa Bonita to celebrate her big meet! Suprise, suprise!!! It was a great day:)

2009 Colorado State Summer Club Championships

It's officially over! Kayla competed at the state meet this weekend and did AMAZING! We couldn't be more proud of her. She was very hard on herself at first, but once we sat down and explained to her the HUGE accomplishments she had made this season and in the state meet she was very proud of herself! She finished 8th in the 100 Freestyle and 12th in the 50 Freestyle...those finishes earn her ribbons and points for her team! She has a few weeks off before she will begin her fall season with Vortex! She is already excited to get back in the water! Thanks to Grandpa Kenny, Grandma Nancy, The Axe family and of course her WONDERFUL coaches for coming to cheer her on an being so supportive!!! Enjoy the slide show.....there are lots of pics!
