Spring Music Program

Kayla had her 1st and 2nd grade spring music program last night! It was supposed to be last Thursday but got postponed because of the snow storm! It was all about 3's and Kayla played Goldilocks! She did a great job with her part and so did everyone! It was such a cute show! Can't wait for Allie to be in the spring program next year!

Snow Day 2009

We got a foot of snow yesterday! They let school out early yesterday and cancelled it all together today! Today is beautiful, probably should be at school but it's alway nice to have a day off, especially a Friday! We have been keeping busy all day, but the girls had a blast playing outside in our only snow of the year!

New Family Members!

So, the pet store gave us a credit to get a new puppy when Riley passed away. We have been waiting for awhile, but yesterday the pet store got in some new Yorkie Poo's! Of course we fell in love as soon as we got there! Andy and I went to pick him up this morning and there was an almost full grown Schnoodle looking so sad....needless to say we came home with them both! Yes, we are crazy but it has been fully entertaining here today! The girls named the little Yorkie Poo, Oreo - he is mostly black with white front paws! The Schnoodle hasn't been named yet...I am sure he will be later tonight and we will update then!

Welcome Home Flat Kayla!!!

Kayla's class read the book Flat Stanley to begin learing about the United States. In the book Stanley is flattened when a bulletin board fell on him....his parents decided to put him in an envelope and send him off to visit a friend. So, at school Kayla made "Flat Kayla" and sent her off to Florida to visit her grandparents! Grandma Mary and Grandpa Jimmy did a fantastic job of showing Flat Kayla all around Florida! They took her to eat her favorite meal chicken wings a few times, took her to the beach, boat rides, and the 2nd largest lake in the United States, Lake Okeechobee! Kayla was so excited to get Flat Kayla back today with lots of stories, pictures, sand from the beach and lots of postcards! Thank you Grandma Mary and Grandpa Jimmy for showing Flat Kayla such a great time! The real Kayla and the rest of her Family hope to visit real soon:)

Spring Break 09

We got back late last night from Las Vegas. We drove there last Saturday and made it there super easy! We planned on stopping half way, but didn't need to! Our kids traveled like champs!

We made sure to relax by the pool everday....the kids had a great time swimming, reading by the pool and making friends! Mom and Dad enjoyed the fruity drinks poolside every afternoon!

We saw the Tournment of Kings at our hotel....it was sooo much fun! Very interactive and a fun meal too! We saw Dirk Arthurs Magic Show, the Shark Reef Aquaruim, Madam Tussauds Wax musuem(very cool!), and all the outdoor shows!

We are all glad to be home, but it was a great trip!!!

Teacher Tuck in #2

Last night was Allie's turn! We had Cooper over to spend the night since Mrs. Hanna is his teacher too! They were so excited....they literally couldn't contain it! She brought them each a Dr. Suess book with a special note inside and a Cat in the Hat stuffed animal. She obviously knows them really well because for their bedtime snack she couldn't have made them any happier.....strawberry smoothies and donut holes! Story time was a little crazy....they were too excited to sit still and Mrs. Hanna definatly saw a different side of them that she doesn't see at school (thank goodness!!!!). But it was such a great time for all!! Thanks Mrs. Hanna!!!

Teacher Tuck In - Round 1

At Johnson Elementary's annual Sock Hop they always do a silent aution to raise money for the parent organization! This year they had a teacher tuck in to bid on. The winner gets a night that the teacher comes over, brings a snack,a special present if you're lucky, and reads a few bedtime stories! Well, we made sure to win for both the girls teachers! Tonight was Kayla's turn! Mrs. Holder came with vanilla milkshakes and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and many great bedtime stories! She also brought Kayla a special "sweet dreams" pillow that will be very special to Kayla FOREVER! They had a great night...Allie even got in on a little of the action! Thanks for a great night Mrs. Holder!!! Stay tuned for Allie's special night...

Rams Basketball

Last night we made it to the last home game for the CSU Men's basketball team. We went with our friends, the Axe's. Unfortunately the Rams lost in double overtime, but we still had a great time!
