Kayla's Zoo Field Trip

Kayla's 1st grade class went on a field trip today to the Denver Zoo. They have been studying endangered species and her animal was the Asian Elelphant. They had to presentations for small groups about their animal. It was very cute and a lot of fun. I was able to go and be a group leader and Andy stayed home with Allie! Andy left for New Jersey when we got home! It was a busy day!!!

Trip to Lincoln

My cousin Angela was married in March and had her reception in Lincoln, Nebraska last weekend. We had a really great time. We stopped on our way there and stayed in Kearney, Nebraska at the Holiday Inn. They had 2 large water slides and a little kids play area in the pool. The girls had so much fun! We then headed to Lincoln where we showed Andy Memorial Stadium where the Huskers play football and went to the Children's Museum! We saw family we hadn't seen in a long time and were able to catch up! The kids all enjoyed playing with their cousins and running wild through the hotel!

Congratuations Angela and Erik - we had a really good time!

Allie Update

Just wanted to let everyone know that Allie is back to her old self! She took a while longer than most, but she is back in action - even playing soccer this weekend and having her first sleepover with her friend Cooper!

Kayla's Music Program

Kayla's school had a 1st and 2nd grade music program last week! It was really cute - each class was a different animal, her class wore racoon ears!

Allie's Surgery Update

Allie had her tonsils and adenoids removed yesterday. It has been a rough start but we are slowly having signs of progress. These pictures were mostly taken before the surgery...Great Grandma and Grandpa Kirchhoff from Nebraska stopped in to make sure things were going okay along with Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Kenny. We had a wonderful dinner waiting for us when we got home last night from the Axe's. We will just be taking it easy and hopefully recovering with ease for the next couple weeks!
